This year, ’47 announced our exciting new partnership with the Big Bash League (BBL) –– a high-energy game of Twenty20 cricket played by men’s and women’s teams from eight major Australian cities. As the official headwear partner, we’ve recently made some great new mates down under, finding very quickly that cricketers and ’47 share a love for expressive energy that transcends sport and lifestyle.

From the Gold Coast to the Western Outback and the Tasman Peninsula, the personalities are strong and unique –– just how we like ’em. As an addition to our #LETYOURYOUOUT storytelling, we traveled far and wide to meet some of the individuals beneath the BBL uniform and learn more about life on and off the pitch.

To no surprise –– the same energy that has made these individuals into talented athletes is reflected in their other talents –– and vise versa.

Meet Corinne Hall of the Hobart Hurricanes –– cricketer by trade and charcoal artist by choice:

Pro Cricketer one hour, Industrial Designer the next –– Maitlan Brown of the Melbourne Renegades talents expand beyond the field:

Hitting chords and hitting a six — Naomi Stalenberg of the Sydney Thunder knows her way around an axe. Hear more about her story on and off the field:

When he’s ready, he is sure to execute – Tom Rogers of the Hobart Hurricanes lives for the special moments.

It doesn’t matter if it’s on the cricket field or in the water, staying focused and keeping the head clear is always the goal for Mickey Edwards of the Sydney Sixers:

Andrew Tye of the Perth Scorchers is always prepared –– whether it’s homemade pizzas or homefield matches

Passion runs through his veins from years of sport – footie, golf, and now cricket. Seb Gotch of the Melbourne Stars finds success with support of loved ones and always giving his all:

Having fun is in his DNA – Joe Burns of the Brisbane Heat keeps that spark for sport alive on the field and the court:

Keep tuning into on our social channels this season to meet more players who are now part of the ’47 Fam.
